Nico explains, “My journey into social care began as a support worker, training as a team leader and then progressing to care management. I have worked in lots of different capacities - and these positions have really enabled me to understand the different aspects of the vital roles involved in managing Radfield’s professional home care service and supporting clients.”

The inspiration to work in the adult care sector came early to Nico and it holds a real family connection. She is passionate about providing the best care to Radfield’s clients as Nico’s describes in her own words:

“My mum was a district Nurse, I grew up In Zimbabwe and I used to watch her go to people’s houses and deliver care and support needs to those who couldn't make it to clinics or hospitals. It wasn’t until I was a bit older that I got to appreciate the work she was doing for our community. This inturn inspired me to something similar as a profession!

My role as a Care Manager directly supports the running of Radfield Home Care Liverpool South. It also provides our care professionals with a point of contact if they need any support. As their manager, mentor, colleague as I believe in team working and supporting each other. I believe good team work enables us to support our clients in ensuring we deliver a high standard of care and work together to achieve their desired outcomes.”
