Nicola McCaffrey - Field Care Supervisor

Nicola McCaffrey - Field Care Supervisor

We would like to introduce you to Nicola, field care supervisor for Radfield Home Care Liverpool South. Nicola is the key person in the field. Nicola is responsible for inducting and supporting new staff to understand our processes and complete their care certificate, undertaking regular spot checks and competencies for all staff to ensure the workforce is skilled to meet the needs of our clients.

Nicola joined Radfield as a care assistant in early 2020 and was soon promoted to field care supervisor in September 2020. With a real eye for detail, Nicola’s previous background within the legal sector has prepared her well for all administrative aspects of her role. As a foster carer, Nicola is a truly compassionate person who brings those values to her day to day life at Radfield and has always been interested in social care.

Nicola explains: “As I saw my parents getting older, I understood that it is not only young children that need additional care and support. This is one of the key reasons I wanted to be involved in the adult social care sector and why I love working with our clients.”

The ability to recognise the needs of our clients is of great importance to the field care supervisor role and Nicola’s blend of care experience both at Radfield and in previous roles really compliments this:

“Fostering has taught me how to be patient, understanding, non judgmental, caring and loving. In life, everyone has different needs and these need to be met - this is so important to understand as care professionals. My role always aims to ensure our clients independence, promote confidence, self belief and self worth - all delivered by our highly trained care professionals.”
