Jake Frood - Care Coordinator

Jake Frood - Care Coordinator

We would like to introduce you to Jake, care coordinator for Radfield Home Care Wakefield and Dewsbury. Jake is responsible for the creation and management of the rotas for clients and carers, liaising with clients, families and healthcare professionals to manage care needs, staff deployment and supporting the registered manager with safe running of the office.

Jake joined Radfield as a care coordinator in April 2021, having over 8 years of experience working within the care industry. He has a strong background in the health and care sector, leading teams who provide care and support for a range of clients and ages, with a variety of differing needs.

With an NVQ level 3 in health and social care Jake describes his journey in care that led him to Radfield:

“I have 8 years of experience working within the care industry, within residential and nursing homes, children’s residential homes, out in the community and in supported living. I gained my first leadership role in a supported living scheme, being responsible for the day to day running of a supported living scheme with 26 individual properties/flats for adults with learning needs and mental health issues. I have worked in residential homes as a team leader and a night manager - I have loved being able to guide team members, share my knowledge and also grow with them.”

Jake is clear about his passion to provide the best care possible to his clients and how his experience will really compliment his role as a Radfield care coordinator:

“When I started working in health and social care, bad habits and unconventional ways of delivering care were very much in common, and I wanted to learn how to deliver care to the highest standard. Once in leadership I then wanted to share this knowledge and guide people to deliver care and support to the highest standard possible.

I’ve been able to build up a wide range of experience with a vast range of people - every client has different needs and everyone is unique. I have worked in a wide range of settings within the health and social care sector, and feel like this experience will help me develop a person centred approach and a trusting relationship with each and every client at Radfield.”
