Care Trainer

A Care Trainer is responsible for training and supporting both care and office teams to ensure they have the required mandatory and additional skills they need to provide care safely to our clients.

The trainer will ensure that all of our teams understand their roles and responsibilities and are able to carry out their caring duties safely and efficiently. Care trainers support our staff with the following elements:

  • Moving and handling
  • Infection control 
  • Food Hygiene
  • Health and Safety
  • Mediation Administration
  • Safeguarding
  • Fire Safety
  • First Aid
  • Dementia
  • Mental Capacity
  • Risk Assessment and Risk Management

The qualities that are required for a trainer is a genuine interest in ensuring that people are well trained and understand the material and are able to apply it in the course of their duties. Trainers must undertake Train the Trainer courses in a variety of subjects and be able to use their own initiative to continually update and develop training materials and teaching methods . They must be able to listen to and act proactively on constructive feedback to refine their role and delivery methods.
