Radfield Home Care has welcomed a local pharmacist to its expanding franchise network in Chichester & Bognor Regis.
Following a career operating his own pharmacies since 2009, Omair Javed is joining Radfield with a wealth of experience in health and social care and as an entrepreneur. Spending a lot of time working with older people in the community through the pharmacy really highlighted to him the demand for high-quality home care services.
“My experience in community pharmacy and dealing with patients’ medical care, especially older patients, drew my attention to the wider care sector. In my pharmacy practice, I am regularly involved with patients’ care at various levels. That may be liaising with carers, speaking with relatives or contacting their healthcare provider,” Omair explains.
With a background already operating his own businesses within a regulated sector, Omair already has an excellent understanding of quality care. This insight provides him with a clear understanding of how to exceed the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) regulatory expectations and how to operate a successful home care business. However, even with this wealth of experience, he decided a franchise business with Radfield was the best option for him to start a domiciliary care agency.
“After extensive research, I came to the conclusion that franchising is the best option for me to start this venture. I am proud to choose Radfield Home Care because our values align. It is family oriented and is an ethical company,” Omair explains.
“Throughout the extensive recruitment process, they have been transparent, honest and not once pressured me. They have a good network of support available and an excellent structure. I have a dedicated franchise support manager then teams specialising in marketing, compliance, finance and IT. They are constantly working in the background to develop and improve the systems to stay ahead of both the competitors and regulations too.”
Living in West Sussex on the south coast of England, Omair will be servicing clients within the Chichester & Bognor Regis territory. He is currently working with Radfield’s support team to prepare his business for trading later in the year. From attaining industry regulation approval, to recruiting his core office team, to marketing his services to clients and Care Professionals in the local area.
“Omair is a real asset to the Radfield franchise family. He has a great understanding of the marketplace, a genuine passion for people and a proven track record of business success,” franchisor, Dr Hannah MacKechnie comments.
“In recent months, we have experienced a surge of interest in Radfield’s franchise opportunity. Individuals such as Omair are reassessing their work life scenarios and many people are considering taking the step into self-employment to control their own futures.
“I think the care sector is particularly popular as it is one of the few sectors that managed to sustain itself during the pandemic. I believe the way communities have come together throughout the pandemic is also highlighting the importance of high quality care and support.”
Since launching its franchise opportunity in 2017, Radfield Home Care has over 20 franchise partners across the UK. With over 35 years’ experience in the marketplace, today Radfield specialises in delivering services to self-funding older people living within the comfort of their own home. This allows franchise partners to operate in the financially resilient private marketplace and focus on delivering the highest standards of care and a supportive work environment for its care professionals.
