It’s been a busy time for Radfield, with lots of different articles being published, we wanted to take some time to reflect on the topics covered this month and what’s coming up next.

Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

September marked the start of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and in true Radfield fashion, we took up the mantle of championing this with lots of informative content.

We are a home care provider that specialises in care services for older people, with a mission to help our nation age well and remain connected to the things that matter most. We assist those living with Alzheimer’s on a daily basis, offering specialist Alzheimer’s care services.

Back to school

September also means the beginning of a new school year, which is not only daunting for children, but also for the parents that have to wave them off. Having sent them through the school gates, you may have a lot more spare time that you might want to put to good use. We took some time to outline the benefits of a career in care and how this can easily fit around your lifestyle:

Moving into autumn

The transition from summer to autumn brings its own set of positives and negatives. The vibrant yellow, orange and brown foliage is a feast for the eyes but can also pose a danger to those unsteady on their feet as they can increase the chance of a slip or fall. We look at what to look for in a sturdy shoe to keep you firmly grounded whilst out and about.

Coming up in October

October hosts some really fantastic awareness events which we will be covering with informative content such as blogs and infographics. We’re planning on exploring:

  • International day of older persons

  • National baking week (this ties in nicely with the start of the Great British Bake Off!)

  • National back care week

  • Assisting older people with Halloween preparation

  • Pension tracing day

We hope you’ve enjoyed the September articles as much as we have and we look forward to having you with us for October and beyond.
