Changing careers, or starting a new one, can be a daunting prospect for anyone. There’s so much to think about, will I be supported? What is the training like? Can I do it? Join us as we answer these questions and shed some light on the role of Care Professional.

Will I be supported?

This is a common point of anxiety among people starting a new role and rightly so. We spend roughly a third of our lives in the workplace, so feeling supported, valued and empowered is important. To demonstrate our commitment to empowering Care Professional’s and their knowledge, we created a public pledge ‘Caring for our Carers’™ which reinforces the following:

  • Creating a culture which is welcoming, inclusive and supportive

  • Appreciating, recognising and proudly celebrating the achievements of individuals and teams

  • Reward its care teams with transparent and fair wages for hard work and commitment for providing exceptional care to its clients

  • Empowering staff to develop skills and knowledge, building confidence to enable career progression

Creating a supportive and inclusive culture is at the heart of the Radfield ethos and we take pride in what we do. We understand that in order to deliver the best care possible, our Care Professionals need to feel valued and supported in the workplace, so that’s exactly what we do!

“Radfield home care is a family run business that provides the best home care you could wish for. They value their clients and staff. It’s great to be part of such an amazing team and to receive all the support and training that I need.”
- Mandy Franklin, Care Professional

What is the training like?

We offer the very best training to all of our Care Professionals to ensure you’re ready for the role. Every day is different in home care and some days can be challenging, but if you have patience, determination and the will to help others, you’ll succeed.

During the training process you’ll learn new technical skills that offer practical benefits, as well as life skills that will build confidence and independence in the workplace. The training process is supportive and structured, with client and Care Professional satisfaction at the heart of it.

“A well trained team that communicates with each other is so essential in providing that consistent high level of care I believe in and this is what I experience daily at Radfield. My clients trust me and I know that I can fully trust any member of my team”
- Rose Krezwell, Care Professional

Can I do it?

Yes, you can! You don’t need any previous experience to be considered for a Care Professional role. All you need is determination, patience and a will to help others. You will learn new skills that will build self-confidence and give you the tools you need to face any challenge.

If you want a fulfilling, flexible, rewarding career that fits around your lifestyle, look no further!
