Radfield is proud to be a committed ‘Living Wage’ employer

Radfield Home Care Milton Keynes is delighted to announce that following its successful implementation of its ‘Caring for our Carers’ employee welfare pledge, it has now taken this commitment one step further and has achieved a ‘Living Wage Accreditation‘ for paying a ‘Real Living Wage’.

Recognising the impact the wellbeing of care professionals has on the care services provided to its valued clients, Radfield Home Care has always been proud to support its staff with employee recognition schemes, a supportive work environment, and high wages – collectively referred to as its ‘Caring for Carers Pledge’. Radfield Home Care Milton Keynes has furthered this by achieving Living Wage Foundation Accreditation.

Jane Franks, director of Radfield Home Care Milton Keynes is proud to have adopted the the Living Wage:



“Paying the Living Wage was just a natural step for us to take. It supports the Radfield ethos, and our ‘Caring for our Carers’ pledge. It reflects the value of the expertise our care professionals bring in providing excellence in care. This is an important part of looking after our care professionals and ensuring they have a real living wage that represents everyday reality.”


The Living Wage Foundation recognises employers that voluntarily pay their workforce higher than the Government minimum wage for over 25 year olds. This ‘Real Living Wage’ is recalculated yearly and is based upon the cost of living, reflecting the recommended hourly wage required in order for employees and their families to live – to date over 250,000 employees have received a pay rise.

As well as the natural benefits this has for employees, it has also been proven to have a positive impact on the growth of businesses due to improved reputation, increased employee retention rates and being ethically based. Within the wider care sector clients can expect benefits such as greater continuity in care standards, familiar faces due to reduction in employee turnover and knowing that the emphasis is placed upon the welfare of carers too.
