We would like to introduce you to Kulvir, the Care Manager for Radfield Home Care Slough, Maidenhead & Windsor.

What is your background prior to joining Radfield?

With over 15 years of experience in the care sector, I possess a deep understanding and a passion for delivering high quality support. I have spent 4 years assessing new clients, developing and implementing care plans, conducting reviews and assisting with the management of supported living units, working with local authorities to make sure clients received the right type of care. Prior to this, I progressed through various roles including care worker coordinator and service manager gaining valuable insights and expertise along the way.  I also provided manual handling training to all new and current staff, teaching them how to use various equipment they may come across on the field.

How has your background prepared you for your new role at RHC?

The understanding of care planning and person centred care has enabled me to create effective plans tailored to individual needs. Previous roles have provided me with leadership and management experience which will be valuable in overseeing teams and making informed decisions. I have learnt the importance of communication with clients and colleagues, my experience in fast paced care environments have given me problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations. My extensive background has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel as a Care Manager for Radfield Home Care.

What has inspired you to want to be involved in the adult social care sector?

My passion for care stems from a deep rooted desire to make a positive impact on peoples lives. Throughout my career, I have witnessed first-hand the difference that compassionate and personalised care can make in helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing. I have seen the resilience and strength of the people I have worked with, and I’m inspired by their determination to overcome challenges and live fulfilling lives. This experience has driven me to dedicate my career to providing high quality care and support and commitment to continue to make a difference in the lives of others.

How do you feel your role, and your experience, will benefit Radfield’s clients?

My extensive background in care, I am confident that my role and experience will greatly benefit Radfield clients in several ways. I have worked with diverse client groups, from different backgrounds and each with different care needs, this allows me to bring a unique perspective and approach to care delivery, tailored to each individuals needs. My experience in care planning, coordinating hours to staff, leadership and client assessments enable me to assist with client needs and prioritise their wellbeing.
