About Jo

A dedicated care professional, Jo Power is Radfield Home Care Derby, Ashbourne & South Derbyshire’s Registered Care Manager. Responsible for the day to day running of the office in line with CQC regulations, Jo ensures that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well led. Jo is the key point of contact for carers, clients and their families and promotes individual’s wellbeing at all times.

Having dedicated her career to the care sector, Joanne joined Radfield in June 2023.

Jo says:

“At the age of sixteen I began my journey within the care sector as a kitchen assistant, working weekends in a nursing home. I absolutely loved talking and interacting with the clients who lived there and decided to take up the role of a care assistant. I progressed within the care sector, as a care assistant and support worker, before gaining promotion within a specialist care service for adults with learning difficulties. I then became a deputy manager for 4 years before becoming a registered service manager for a further 3 years.”

Jo always looks to put her clients first ensuring they receive the best possible care:

“I am passionate about our clients receiving the best possible care they can. To do this I am fully involved with the range of services that our care professionals provide. I am always in contact with our care team and will make sure all clients’ care plans are updated. My extensive knowledge of the care sector, including a Health and Social Care Level 4, means I know how important compliance is. I ensure that the correct training, policies and procedures are always in place, dealing with things in a timely manner.”
