Radfield Home Care Liverpool North is delighted to announce its sponsorship of Marine in the Community, Community Cafe in Crosby.

Marine In the Community was formed in February 2019 to create a link between Marine Football Club and the local community, to improve and enhance the lives of people living in Crosby and the surrounding areas by providing a safe and friendly environment for Children and Adults to improve and develop their skills, meet people and for older people, help reduce the risk of social isolation.

Graeme Gardiner, Community Director explains,

“It was the determination of our volunteers that led to the opening of the Community Cafe last October. Our volunteers had identified a need for a place for older people to come together regularly for some lunch, a cuppa and a chat. The cafe opens every Wednesday lunchtime with a selection of activities available, and we also encourage our visitors to bring along their own hobbies and share.”

“The Radfield Home Care sponsorship means a huge amount to us. We want to encourage everyone in the community to come along and join in, but for some they can’t afford to pay for this activity, so the sponsorship helps towards providing the lunch. It will also help towards the plans we have to purchase a minibus, which will allow us to pick up visitors that are unable to get here.”

Dave Bellis, owner and director of Radfield Home Care Liverpool commented,

“We are delighted to sponsor such an amazing group for older people and have plans in place to start taking our clients to the lunch club to enjoy this activity. Being involved in community projects such as these demonstrates our commitment to supporting and being involved in the local community and to help combat social isolation and loneliness that we know older people are living with.”
