Dementia Forward

Dementia Forward is North Yorkshire’s leading support charity for people living with and affected by dementia, providing a lifeline to over 4,000 people, through their local helpline, dementia specialist support team and community wellbeing services.

Radfield Home Care York & Rural provides funding and support for their Wellbeing Café at Clements Hall in York. A representative of Dementia Forward said: “We are extremely grateful for this support. It is brilliant to have developed this relationship with Radfield Home Care, and we look forward to working together going forward.
“Being a local charity that supports those with dementia across North Yorkshire, Dementia Forward provides a service close to our heart at Radfield. We have supported Dementia Forward with a few initiatives over the last couple of years and it is great to formalise our partnership with the sponsorship of the Friends Together
café.”

York Carers Centre

We are delighted to announce that York Carers Centre has been chosen as Radfield Home Care York & Rural’s Charity of the Year for 2025 – a decision made with the involvement of our care team, who all took part in selecting a cause close to their hearts.

This partnership reflects our shared commitment to supporting unpaid carers across the city – individuals who provide vital care for family members or friends facing illness, disability, mental health conditions or substance misuse. York Carers Centre offers invaluable services including one-to-one advice, emotional support, financial and benefits guidance, and respite opportunities for adult and young carers alike.

Our fundraising efforts are already underway, starting with a fantastic challenge that saw our General Manager, Marco, cycle the equivalent distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats on an exercise bike – raising both funds and awareness for this brilliant charity. Throughout the year, our team will continue to take part in staff-led challenges and local events to support York Carers Centre’s work. We’re proud to stand alongside them to highlight the extraordinary support they provide and ensure carers in our community feel seen, supported and valued.
