Why become a Radfield carer?

Lead a fulfilling career, helping people age well while working towards prestigious qualifications on the job.

Why work in the health and social care sector?

There are many opportunities in the social care sector, and whether you’re starting a career fresh from college, looking for a career change, or even considering returning to the sector, there’s something for you. If you enjoy working with people and want to make a difference, caring may be the career choice for you.

Home Care Professionals provide support and regular contact that is vital to older people, enabling them to live at home with dignity and independence. Home carers can help with a wide range of tasks from companionship, washing or dressing, right through to administering medication and rehabilitation.

Qualifications and Training

To begin a career in care you do not need any formal qualifications. We provide on-the-job training from the start that may lead to further training courses in such subjects as first aid, food hygiene, health and safety, or how to help people with mobility issues. There may also be an opportunity to work towards further qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in health and Social Care. There have been many instances of people starting their career with us and progressing to higher level qualifications, such as a foundation degree or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care.

Flexible

Unlike many careers, care work offers real flexibility with working patterns that fit around your family and existing commitments. You may choose a full-time or part-time contract – the choice is yours.

Make a Difference

A career in social care is extremely rewarding and offers an enormous sense of personal achievement and pride. It’s about making a positive difference in people’s lives by contributing to their health, happiness and well-being. It really is a lifeline to many older people.

Support

Many organisations recognise the importance and value of their staff, and a career in caring is no different. At Radfield Home Care, we’re dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of our carers as well as our clients, which is why we’ve launched our Caring for Carers Pledge™. The Pledge outlines our commitment to investing in quality training, providing appropriate pay to cover the time taken to travel between appointments, empowering the team, and working closely alongside them to help them deliver exceptionally high standards.
