With a background as a Creative Director, Drama Teacher, and Art Therapy practitioner, Mercedes has spent decades using creative health to bring joy, dignity, and active engagement to adults across the community.

Her passion for care is shaped by both professional experience and personal history. Having navigated her mother’s cancer journey, Mercedes understands how much of a difference high-quality care makes for both clients and their families.

Mercedes is dedicated to building genuine relationships, fostering real-world human connections, and ensuring everyone in the community feels seen, valued, and supported.

Professional Experience

Having collaboratively partnered with Radfield for four years prior to joining the team, Mercedes brings an established community network and a unique outside-the-box perspective to outreach.

Her experience spans working in residential homes, sheltered accommodation, faith centres, and community hubs, engaging individuals through everything from one-to-one sessions to large-scale events.

Her key areas of expertise and qualifications include:

• Creative Health & Dementia Care: Holds a Diploma in Integrative Art Therapy, PGCE in Drama, and specialised Dementia training, utilising creative techniques and storytelling to enrich lives and promote mental well-being.
• Community Outreach & Strategic Networking: Over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience, including 5 years running an award-winning business, with strong, established connections to local authorities and community organisations.
• Safety & Leadership: Certified Lead Safeguarding Officer with extensive experience leading workshops, managing outreach projects, and driving community initiatives.
