Pam Kaur

Pam is an experienced care sector professional who began her care journey as a care assistant and is now an experienced care service manager. Now, Pam is using her impressive experience to provide an exceptional home care service to her local communities in Bedford. Speaking about her care career, Pam said:

“I have been working in care for 18 years. I started as a care assistant and made my way up.”

Pam holds qualifications in Leadership, health and social care and has worked through challenging circumstances. The Covid-19 pandemic presented a major challenge for the UK care sector that Pam faced head-on. She said:

“I am highly experienced and managed difficult situations. Especially during covid in the absence of management, I kept my residents safe and limited the risk of them moving to another care home due to lack of staff. I managed the service only with agency staff. I have learnt to stay focused in difficult times.”

Motivated by a desire to help older people lead fulfilling and happy lives, Pam has been inspired by how transformative quality care can be.

“When I moved to England, I got hired in a care home. I was amazed by the idea of how nicely residents were living a king life. That day I decided this will be the only sector I would like to work in. My clients are the ones who inspire me, seeing them happy and content gives me a boost of happiness.”

Thanks to her in-depth experience, Pam understands that everybody’s needs and requirements are different and that exceptional care must be bespoke. She also knows that great care requires a holistic approach with input from the client, their loved ones and their healthcare professionals.

“Over the years I have worked with a number of clients, met their needs and dealt with different professionals and social workers. By understanding their needs and providing person-centred care, we can deliver a truly beneficial service to our clients.”
