Special recognition award presented to Karen Berry for outstanding contribution

A special award presentation took place today at The Fountains Independent Retirement Living in Ormskirk, recognising House Manager Karen Berry for her outstanding contribution and dedication to supporting residents to live independently within their community.

The award was proudly presented by the Mayor of West Lancashire, Anne Fennell, during a heart-warming celebration attended by residents, guests, and community partners.

Celebrating community spirit at the fountains

Residents at The Fountains spoke highly of Karen, praising her for consistently going above and beyond in her role and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone living within the development.

Many residents commented that they “would not want to live anywhere else” thanks to the care, encouragement, and sense of community Karen helps to provide every day.

Guests enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea celebration with a selection of cakes kindly supported by Mr Thompson Bakery in Ormskirk, alongside teas, coffees, and a welcome glass of Prosecco.
