At Radfield Home Care, we believe passionately in giving back to our local communities and supporting initiatives that promote health and well-being. On the 23rd of May, a dedicated cohort of our Care Professionals from Radfield Home Care Harrogate, Wetherby & North Yorkshire and Radield Home Care York & Rural will proudly participate in the Yorkshire Cancer Research ‘We Walk for Yorkshire’ challenge. This initiative embodies our ongoing commitment to helping our community age well and remain actively connected to the people, places, and things that matter most.
Every 17 minutes, someone in Yorkshire receives a life-changing diagnosis of cancer. Tragically, too many of our friends, family members, and neighbours lose their lives to this devastating illness.
Radfield Home Care understands deeply the importance of community involvement and recognises that effective care goes beyond providing elderly care in Harrogate and Yorkshire. Our role extends to actively supporting critical initiatives like Yorkshire Cancer Research, which conducts essential work saving lives across our region. By participating in this walk, we are championing a cause that aligns perfectly with our core mission, to provide not only the best home care in Harrogate but to foster healthier, happier communities for all.
Our team will begin our fundraising journey from our Radfield Home Care office in Harrogate, making a meaningful stop at the Yorkshire Cancer Research head office at Hornbeam Park, before continuing our walk to our neighbouring colleagues at Radfield Home Care York. This ambitious challenge covers a significant distance and is estimated to take around eight hours, reflecting our genuine dedication and collective enthusiasm.
Through every mile we walk, our Care Professionals aim to raise awareness and crucial funds to support the incredible work of Yorkshire Cancer Research. Every pound raised directly contributes towards advancing vital cancer research and providing better health outcomes for people living in our local communities. By supporting this cause, we are reinforcing our commitment to high-quality care in Harrogate and care in Yorkshire; ensuring that we contribute positively to the health and wellness of everyone around us.
