How does Radfield Home Care compare to other top care franchises?

You may remember from late last year that I shared the fantastic news with you about the Radfield Home Care franchise being listed on the Elite Franchise Top 100. If you missed it, the Elite Franchise 100 rankings are the industry gold standard for the very best in UK franchising.

Not only were Radfield Home Care listed at a very prestigious 39th place, this was the 8th consecutive year they had been included in this very exclusive list, and they were the fifth-highest home care provider overall. Considering how many care franchise are out there, this was a huge achievement.

  • Cons: Less well known than other brands, posing a challenge for individual investors

Other factors to consider:

Cost of investment: what will you receive for your investment, are there any extra costs, and what ongoing fees do you need to pay.

Profitability: Profit margins in the home care sector can vary, so it’s important to ask for detailed financial projections to compare against other options.

Support & Training: Larger franchises might offer more extensive marketing resources, but smaller franchises could provide more personalised support.

The most important element of them all:

It’s far too easy to get bogged down in the detail and vast choice out there when it comes to making the right choice. So, I recommend you make a shift in your thinking: what is the right choice for you? What are the reasons why you want to run a care business? What is most important to you in delivering care, and in how you want your daily life to be like?

Look carefully at a franchise’s mission and purpose, and make sure it aligns with your own. Look at the business model and numbers, of course, but also have a serious think about whether or not these are people you can work with, and can count on to help you build the right kind of future.
