We would like to introduce you to Nicola Wright, Deputy Care Manager for Radfield Home Care Chippenham & North Wiltshire.
Nicola is responsible for the creation and management of the rotas for clients and Care Professionals, liaising with clients, families and professionals to manage care needs and staff deployment and supporting the registered manager with the safe running of the office.
Before joining Radfield Home Care, I spent seven years working in adult social care. I started my career as a Care Professional and worked my way up to Care Coordinator, gaining experience in both frontline care and care coordination. This gave me a strong understanding of how well-organised, person-centred care can make a real difference for both clients and care teams.
I originally worked in retail, but my career path changed after my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 60. Seeing the excellent care she received before she sadly passed away at 65 inspired me to support others and give back to those who make such a difference in people’s lives. My personal experience, combined with my professional journey in care, has shaped my compassionate and supportive approach as Deputy Care Manager.
My motivation comes from my own family experience. Watching the impact of thoughtful, person-centred care showed me how rewarding it is to help people feel supported, respected, and understood, particularly during challenging times.
Over the years, I’ve built up a lot of knowledge and practical experience. I enjoy building positive relationships with our clients and supporting them with wider concerns as well as their care needs. My aim is always to help people feel reassured, listened to, and genuinely supported.
