Before joining Radfield Home Care, I worked within the Reablement Service, supporting people who had been discharged from hospital to regain their independence at home. I left school and completed an apprenticeship in Business Administration, working as an apprentice secretary for a commercial removals and storage company.
When I turned 18, I knew I wanted to move into Adult Social Care and play a more hands-on role in supporting older people who were facing challenges in their daily lives. I have now worked in Adult Social Care for over 14 years and have never looked back.
During my time in Adult Social Care, I was keen to gain qualifications to expand my knowledge and experience, which led me to complete my Level 3 qualification. This was a significant personal achievement and gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of person-centred care. It also strengthened my knowledge of safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act, which are fundamental when working in the care sector.
When I was younger, my mother cared for my Grandmother. During school holidays, I would often go to my Grandmother’s home while my mother supported her. Watching the care my mother provided was incredibly heart-warming and helped me realise from a young age how rewarding it is to support someone to remain cared for in their own home.
With many years of experience ensuring people receive high-quality, compassionate care, I bring strong knowledge and understanding to my role at Radfield Home Care. I am committed to making sure both clients and colleagues feel supported, well looked after, and confident that there is always someone at the end of the phone whenever they need help or reassurance.
