Radfield Home Care Oxford & Abingdon is delighted to be bringing its Adult Day Centre to Wheatley, Oxfordshire, offering older people a welcoming place to enjoy friendship, activities, good food and connection within their local community.

The Adult Day Club will be based at Merry Bells Village Hall, 93 High St, Wheatley, Oxford OX33 1XP, providing a warm and social environment where people can spend time with others, enjoy meaningful activities and make new friends.

Join Our Free Wheatley Taster Session

To celebrate the launch, Radfield Home Care Oxford & Abingdon is hosting a free taster session on Tuesday 22nd September, from 10:30am to 3pm.

The taster session will run from 10:30am to 1:30pm and will include:

  • A hot lunch and refreshments
  • Fun and engaging activities
  • Time to socialise and meet new people
  • The opportunity to meet the Radfield Home Care Oxford & Abingdon team
  • A chance to discover what the Radfield Adult Day Club is all about

From 1pm to 3pm, we will welcome community partners and guests, with the Mayor in attendance to help us celebrate the launch of the new Wheatley Adult Day Club. We will also draw our charity raffle and announce the total funds raised for our two chosen local causes.

Following the launch, the Oxford Adult Day Club will run every other Thursday from 10am to 3pm.

What Does the Radfield Adult Day Club Include?

The Radfield Adult Day Club is designed to provide a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment where older people can enjoy their day, meet others and take part in a variety of activities.

Each session offers a mix of social activities, entertainment, games, creative sessions and opportunities to try something new. There is plenty of time to chat, make friends and enjoy the company of others, helping to create a strong sense of community and belonging.

Sessions can also include music, quizzes, guest speakers, reminiscence activities, arts and crafts, gentle activities and seasonal events. We aim to offer something for everyone, with activities adapted to suit different interests and abilities.

And of course, there is time to enjoy a hot lunch and refreshments, making the Radfield Adult Day Club a sociable and enjoyable part of the week.
