Radfield Home Care Bexley, Dartford & Sidcup is delighted to announce the launch of its new Adult Day Centre in Dartford on 15 September 2026, creating a welcoming space where older people can enjoy companionship, activities and time with others.
The Day Centre will be based at Stone Pavilion on Hayes Road in Stone, Kent, DA9 9DS, providing a convenient local setting for older people across Dartford and the surrounding areas.
Initially running once a month, sessions will give older people an opportunity to socialise, make new connections and enjoy a change of scenery in a warm and supportive environment.
To celebrate the opening, local older people, families, carers and community members are invited to join us from 10am on 15 September.
The launch will begin with an official opening ceremony, marking the start of this exciting new service for the Dartford community.
Following the ceremony, we will hold a raffle draw for Rodney, Radfield’s much-loved bear. You may have already spotted Rodney out and about in the local community, joining the Radfield team at events and activities. Now, he is helping us raise money for a great cause.
After the raffle, we will present the fundraising total to Crossroads Care South East London., supporting the charity’s work with unpaid carers and the people they care for.

The fundraising element of the launch is an important part of the day. Crossroads Care South East London supports unpaid carers and the people they care for, helping families access practical and emotional support, information and opportunities for respite.
Caring for a loved one can be hugely rewarding, but it can also be demanding. By raising funds for Crossroads Care South East London, we hope to contribute towards the valuable support it provides to carers and families throughout South East London.
Once the opening ceremony and raffle have taken place, our first Day Centre taster session will begin at approximately 11am, finishing at 3pm.
Anyone attending the taster session is welcome to join us from 10am for the launch celebrations.
The launch taster session will give older people and their families the opportunity to experience what our monthly Day Centre sessions will be like.
The introductory taster rate is £30, giving attendees the chance to spend time with the team, meet other members of the community and discover the activities and atmosphere for themselves.
The Day Centre has been designed to offer more than somewhere to spend a few hours. It is about creating opportunities for companionship, connection and enjoyment, while supporting older people to remain active and engaged within their local community.
For families and carers, it can also offer reassurance that their loved one is spending time in a friendly, caring and supportive environment.
Whether it is enjoying an activity, sharing a conversation over a cup of tea or simply spending time with others, the focus will be on creating enjoyable experiences that help people feel connected.
Following the launch, Day Centre sessions will initially take place once a month at Stone Pavilion. Each session will provide a relaxed and welcoming environment where older people can enjoy time with others, take part in activities and receive the support they need throughout the day.
A typical session may include:
The focus is on making each visit enjoyable, social and meaningful, while ensuring that every person receives the right level of support for their individual needs.
For families and carers, the Day Centre can also provide reassurance that their loved one is spending time in a caring, supportive and safe environment, with qualified care professionals onsite and their individual needs considered through a personalised care plan.
There will also be a special introductory offer for new clients as part of the launch. Our team will be available on the day to explain the offer and answer any questions.
The launch reflects Radfield Home Care’s commitment to supporting people across Bexley, Dartford, Sidcup and the surrounding areas.
