I started my journey in adult social care in 2010 as a health care assistant. My first five years in the sector provided me with frontline care expertise, which remains the foundation of my approach today.
Following this, I was promoted into several key office roles, including office administrator, Care Coordinator, and Service Compliance Manager. This background has helped me develop the organisational and case management skills necessary to support our clients and Care Professionals effectively.
I came from a completely different background, but when I started working in adult social care in 2010, I quickly fell in love with the work. It’s a genuinely rewarding sector, and over the years I’ve been inspired by the difference you can make in someone’s daily life.
I’m driven by the opportunity to support people to maintain their independence and to ensure they’re always treated with dignity and respect. What motivates me most is seeing the impact of that support; whether it’s helping someone regain confidence, enabling them to stay independent, or simply being there to listen so they feel heard and valued.
I understand the importance of listening, recognising people’s unique needs, and responding with compassion. Because I’ve seen the immediate impact that good care can have, from boosting someone’s confidence to helping them stay independent, I’m committed to maintaining high standards and contributing positively to the team.
My experience allows me to work confidently, calmly, and professionally, which benefits both the people we support and the organisation as a whole.
