Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 with Radfield Home Care Barnet & Finchley

Radfield Home Care Barnet & Finchley proudly participated in Mental Health Awareness Week 2023, hosted by Community Barnet on May 15th, 2023. This event, held at the Burnt Oak Leisure Centre, provided our team with a meaningful opportunity to connect with the Barnet community and delve deeper into the vital topic of mental health. Discover how Radfield Home Care play a crucial role in supporting mental health in Barnet.

Building Barnet Community Connections

Barnet & Finchley’s dedicated team, including Po, Andrea, and Marmar, actively engaged in the event. Notably, Alison Moore, the Mayor of Barnet, attended the occasion. We also had the privilege of meeting Jacquie Thorne from the Power To Live Organisation, whose work aligns seamlessly with our mission of promoting mental health and well-being through our Radfield home care services.

The Mental Health Awareness Week Event was a community-driven initiative aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues within the Barnet community. Radfield Home Care set up a stall at the event with a specific goal in mind: gaining a deeper understanding of the community’s mental health needs and exploring how we can provide better support to individuals facing these challenges. We cherish every opportunity to network and establish meaningful connections within our community, especially when it involves enhancing our knowledge about mental health and our role in its promotion.

Our Contribution to Home Care in Barnet

Our participation in the event was immensely successful. We actively engaged with community members who attended, fostering open and insightful conversations about mental health. Importantly, we received referrals for both clients in need of our exceptional home care in Barnet and potential recruitment candidates. This strengthens our commitment to delivering top-quality care services to the Barnet community.

The experience was incredibly fruitful as we established promising partnerships with organisations such as New Citizens Gateway, opening avenues to provide free English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) classes for some of our dedicated carers. Additionally, we connected with Meridian Wellbeing, exploring opportunities to offer care assistance to members of the Chinese community in Barnet.

Our Unwavering Commitment to Wellbeing

Po, Director and Owner of Radfield Home Care Barnet and Finchley, expressed her enthusiasm after the event: “Providing work experience assistance for asylum seekers experiencing mental health issues due to negative experiences in the community will be a great honour for Radfield Home Care Barnet and Finchley.”

Our participation in the Mental Health Awareness Week Event underscores our steadfast commitment to promoting mental well-being in the Barnet community through our exceptional Radfield home care services. Radfield Home Care Barnet & Finchley remains dedicated to delivering home care services that prioritise compassion, understanding, and support for individuals facing mental health challenges.
