A warm welcome to the latest edition of our Community newsletter. Our aim is to keep you up to date on all things relating to Radfield Home Care Chingford & Loughton.
With the Summer sun fading and Autumn leaves starting to fall, we reflect on what a special month September has been.
Did you know that our staff are specially trained in PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastronomy) tube care?
At the end of last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming a specialist nurse from the NHS who delivered an engaging and informative session on PEG tube care. The training was interactive and tailored to equip our staff with the essential knowledge and confidence to manage PEG tubes safely and compassionately. With a noticeable rise in PEG usage, particularly following strokes, surgical procedures, and chronic illnesses, we’re committed to upskilling our team to ensure we continue delivering high-quality, person centred care.

The last outdoor festival of the Summer was the Wanstead Festival on Sunday 14th September. It was a great family day as always, and although the weather wasn’t too kind, everyone still had a great time. We showcased our services and raised money for the Samaritans and even met the Mayor of Redbridge.

The Creative Art & Wellbeing Workshops are continuing to grow Loughton with Summer Sand Art and Picasso masterpieces proudly being shared. Our regular monthly sessions give everyone a chance to create, and catch up whilst enjoying being present and boosting their wellbeing.

Diantha and Tara joined us at the end of the summer and we also celebrated 2 milestones last month; Live-In Care professional Alex completed 1 year service. Visiting Care Professionals Kat & Suzie celebrated 1 and 2 years service respectively. We, like our clients can’t thank them enough for their hard work and dedication.
