New Day Centre Launching in Spalding: A Safe and Social Space for Older People

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new service in our local community. From Tuesday 12th August, Radfield Home Care Spalding & Wisbech will be offering a weekly day centre in Spalding, running every Tuesday from 9:30am to 2:30pm at The Olive Tree. This new space is designed to offer older people across Spalding and Wisbech a safe, friendly, and stimulating environment to spend time with others and take part in engaging activities.

As a trusted provider of personalised care in Spalding and the surrounding areas, we are committed to supporting people to age well while remaining connected to their community. Our new service reflects our mission to deliver care that people want as well as need.

Supporting Older People to Stay Connected

Many older adults living independently may experience loneliness, mild memory concerns, or simply want more opportunities for social interaction. Our day centre in Spalding has been created in response to these needs, providing a structured yet flexible option for older people who want to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy their day in the company of others.

Our experienced team of Care Professionals will be on hand throughout the day to support and encourage each individual, always with warmth, respect, and professionalism.

What the Day Centre Offers

Every Tuesday session offers a range of activities and opportunities in a safe, comfortable setting. Visitors can expect:

  • A welcoming atmosphere with friendly faces
  • A programme of tailored activities, from arts and crafts to gentle exercise
  • Freshly prepared meals and refreshments
  • Social interaction with peers and our compassionate care team
  • A supportive space that promotes physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing

The space is designed to support people who may benefit from companionship, light routine, or gentle cognitive stimulation. Whether attending regularly or occasionally, all guests will be welcomed with kindness and care.

Who Can Attend?

Our new day centre in Spalding is ideal for:

  • Older adults who live alone and may feel isolated
  • Individuals who benefit from light structure and routine
  • Those experiencing early-stage dementia or mild cognitive challenge
  • People who simply want to enjoy new friendships and stimulating conversation in a caring environment

We believe everyone should feel part of a community, and our goal is to create a place where people feel valued, heard, and safe.
