We were delighted to welcome members of the community to the launch of our new Radfield Home Care Worcester Droitwich, & Malvern adult day care centre; marking a step in expanding how we support older people to age well in Worcester.
The morning was made by the attendance of the Mayor of Worcester, Matt Lamb. He joined us to celebrate the launch and thanked the community for their support in bringing the service to life.
Our open morning was designed to give visitors a real feel for what a typical day at the centre might look like. Guests had the opportunity to take part in a range of gentle and engaging activities, including:
The room quickly filled with conversation, laughter and connection as people enjoyed activities together, alongside plenty of tea, coffee and cake.
It was a wonderful opportunity for families, professionals and community members to meet the team, explore the space and learn more about how adult day care can support older people to remain independent and socially connected.

At Radfield Home Care, our ethos centres around supporting people to age well, maintaining independence, dignity and meaningful connection to the community.
Adult day care plays a vital role in achieving this. Research consistently shows that social isolation and loneliness can have significant impacts on health and wellbeing in later life.
According to the Campaign to End Loneliness, around 1.4 million older people in England report feeling often lonely, and loneliness has been linked to increased risks of depression, cognitive decline and poorer physical health.
Similarly, NHS England recognises that community-based services such as day centres can support preventative care by providing social interaction, routine and early identification of changes in health or wellbeing.
Adult day care offers:
By providing this support during the day, many older adults are able to maintain their independence at home for longer, reducing the likelihood of crisis situations.

Our adult day care centre in Worcester reflects the values that guide everything we do at Radfield Home Care:
We are family. We are proud to care. We are on your side.
We believe care should feel personal, warm and relationship-led, rather than clinical or institutional. Our day care environment has therefore been designed to feel welcoming and relaxed, with activities tailored to individual interests and abilities.
Every attendee has a personalised care plan, and our qualified Care Professionals are on site throughout the day to provide reassurance, support and encouragement.
Our Adult Day Care Centre in Worcester will now run every Tuesday from 9:30am to 2:30pm, based at The Sergeants’ Mess Community Hub.
Each session includes engaging activities, companionship, a freshly prepared two-course hot lunch, and professional care support in a safe and welcoming environment.
Spaces are intentionally limited to ensure a calm, personalised experience.
