Radfield Home Care team raises funds in Pub to Pub Half Marathon

The team at Radfield Home Care Tarporley and Mid Cheshire completed a challenging 13.6-mile Pub to Pub Half Marathon on Sunday 31st May, raising vital funds for local charities. Starting from The Swan in Tarporley, where the local office is based, the team navigated a mixed route of road, track, and field across the outstanding Cheshire countryside to cross the finish line at The Lion Pub in Malpas.

Led by Owner and Director Rob Dancy, the Radfield team completed the rural multi-terrain course alongside some special companions. Joining the walk were Rob’s two dogs, Tinka and Teddy, as well as the office’s now-famous and highly sought-after ‘mini Reggie’ mascot. The event brought the local care team together for a day focused on community spirit, navigation challenges, and good honest outdoor fun in some glorious weather.

Supporting vital health charities

During the Pub to Pub Half Marathon, the Radfield Home Care team raised an impressive £300 to be split between two incredible causes: CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young, Aaron Dixon Memorial Fund) and Cancer Research North West. Their contribution fed into an extraordinary collective total of just over £15,000 raised by all the participating local businesses, community groups, friends, and families who took part in the local event.

Reflecting on the achievement, Owner and Director Rob Dancy said:

“We thoroughly enjoyed participating in such a wonderful local community event. It allowed us to raise money for two exceptionally worthwhile charities while bringing our fantastic Radfield team closer together. I want to say a huge thank you to our team members and everyone in the community who took part or supported our journey.”

The challenging walk concluded with a well-deserved pint and a celebratory barbecue, offering the team a chance to unwind after hours of countryside navigation.
