At Radfield Home Care York, Thirsk & Ryedale, we understand the specific needs and challenges faced by those living with dementia and we’re committed to making a positive difference in their lives. That’s why we’ve collaborated with Dementia Forward York to collectively enhance our support to these individuals and their care professionals in York, Thirsk and Ryedale.
The Friends Together Friday café, held at Clements Hall in York, is a respite of positivity and support for people with dementia and their dedicated Care Professionals. Run by a thoroughly trained Dementia Support Advisor alongside local volunteers, the café welcomes guests for refreshments and engaging activities like table tennis, dominoes and boccia. It’s a haven where people can connect, share their experiences, and find respite in each other’s company.
Our team at Radfield Home Care are committed to this wonderful initiative, providing both sponsorship for the café and the helping hand of a staff member who will volunteer each month to assist when the café is bustling.
Our partnership with Dementia Forward, a local charity devoted to dementia care in North Yorkshire, is close to our hearts at Radfield Home Care. Over the past few years, we’ve been working with Dementia Forward on an array of enriching initiatives. Our current support for the Friends Together café is another important chapter in this collaboration.
