We have officially launched our brand new domiciliary home care office covering York, Thirsk & Ryedale and we can’t wait to get helping the local community.
Specialising in delivering person-centred, quality-focused care to older people living in their own homes, we will be recruiting dozens of Care Professionals over the coming months, helping ease the pressures of the social care crisis for North Yorkshire residents.
Clients from York to Pickering, Easingwold to Malton and Pickering to Thirsk will benefit from companionship, care and support services – ranging from day trips, to support getting washed and ready for the day ahead, to specialist dementia and palliative services.
“I have worked with multiple home care businesses and I have always felt there was a need for an organisation with a real focus on employee-wellbeing. Care Professionals are some of the hardest working, passionate and loyal people I have come across, and all too often they are undervalued and underappreciated. As a result, this has a huge impact on the quality of care clients receive – after all, how can we expect Care Professionals to support our clients, if we don’t support them?
“I want to change that here in York, Thirsk and rural Ryedale. I want to support our clients to remain connected to their local communities, their identities and their sense of purpose, and to achieve that we must empower and support our Care Professionals. They will receive great rates of pay, well above the Real Living Wage; ongoing training, support and personal development; and genuine reward and recognition for their hard work.”
Currently ranked one of Homecare.co.uk’s Top 20 Group providers, we are the third Yorkshire-based office to open in recent years, alongside locations in Harrogate and Wakefield. We also aim to be one of the leading employers in the York region, paying all Care Professionals £11.00 per hour for all time spent with clients, as well as £11.00 per hour for all travel time, plus an additional mileage allowance for every mile they travel between clients. They will also receive an MOT test every year and ongoing bonus structures.
Dr Hannah MacKechnie, Radfield Home Care’s founder, commented: “I have worked with Ed for many years as he has helped us expand our national network and supported business owners to deliver high-quality care services with exceptional Care Professionals. Ed has always had a passion for supporting Care Professionals and was instrumental in developing our unique employee wellbeing programme, the Caring for our Carers pledge as well as developing our care and support services. I can speak from experience when I say Radfield Home Care York, Thirsk & Ryedale’s clients and Care Professionals will receive the highest standards of support from Ed and the team.”
To celebrate the launch of our office, we will be hosting a recruitment open day on 26th November between 12:00 and 18:30 at Unit 3a, Centurion Office Park, Clifton Moor, YO30 4RY. Anyone interested in learning more about a role as a Care Professional in the community is invited to pop in for a coffee and a chat with the team to start their career in care.
