York home care team expands to deliver more exceptional care

At Radfield Home Care York, Thirsk & Ryedale, we are on a mission to help the nation age well and remain connected to what matters most to them. We live and breathe home care. Helping people remain independent at home isn’t just a job for us, it’s our passion and because of this, we excel at delivering the best possible service.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Care Professionals and office team, we are on track to support over 100 vulnerable and older people in 2023. This also means we’re forecasted to create over 25 new Living Wage Foundation accredited careers in care. This exciting combination means we can continue to help and support older people, as well as supporting the local community by offering jobs with flexible working hours and a fair wage.

Caring for our Carers

Thanks to our Caring for our Carers Pledge, leading rates of pay and supportive environment, we are in a unique position in the sector where recruitment is not a huge challenge for us and our retention is very strong. This means that not only can we provide our clients with consistent Care Professionals who they can build relationships with, but it also means we can support a variety of individuals in the community. In 2023, we are set to double the amount of people we support and already have new Care Professionals joining the team.

Continued training for the whole care team

One of York’s few accredited Living Wage Foundation employers providing care, we at Radfield Home Care York, Thirsk & Ryedale ensure high-quality care by delivering continued training and professional development for the whole care team; engaging Care Professionals, clients and clients’ families in regular feedback and providing an adaptive approach to care delivery – ensuring personal wishes, ad-hoc requests and specialist needs are met.

At a time when health and care services are stretched across the UK, our services are providing a lifeline to many individuals who may otherwise be left without support. We have also provided sustainable career prospects for the team, tracking and responding to the ongoing cost of living crisis with three increases in Care Professionals’ pay last year for both mileage allowances and hourly pay.

If you’d like to find out more about the award-winning home care services on offer, you can see more on our services page. Alternatively, if you’d like to join the Radfield family and make a difference in the lives of others, you can see all vacancies on our careers page.
