Charlie is a family man, married to a Paediatric Nurse with two young, busy, but exciting boys. He thoroughly enjoys parenthood, watching his boys grow up, becoming their own people and developing wicked personalities. Outside of work he has a keen interest in sports which include cricket, football and rugby. His main passion, however, is cricket. Charlie is an active and regular playing member within a local cricket club during the summer months of the year.
Charlie has worked in the Health & Social Care sector for almost 10 years, working in a variety of settings and roles, all of which have furthered his skills and knowledge in the sector.
He began working in a school/residential setting for boys with Autism and behavioural difficulties, switching from teaching assistant during term time to support worker through the school holidays. From there he moved to a company specialising in complex care, managing large packages of care to individuals in their own homes. After 6 months in the role, he set up an office in Wrexham to deliver complex care across North Wales.
5 years on, Charlie started working for one of the UK’s largest Franchisors as their Live-in Care Service Manager across the UK. He managed a team based at the Franchisors national office, as well as a Polish office overseas. He was then presented with an opportunity to become a Registered Manager for a Domiciliary Care provider in Shropshire. Charlie was instrumental in overseeing the business to develop and grow from below 6,000 care hours a month, to 16,500 care hours a month.
Charlie’s most recent role in care brings him to Radfield Home Care as a Quality Assurance Manager, assisting the care teams to ensure every client receives outstanding service.
