Is it time to be completely honest about what’s holding you back?

Is it time to be completely honest about what’s holding you back?

It’s only natural to have concerns and doubts about choosing the right franchise. In fact, they can be a good thing – they show you’re thinking things through properly and imagining how this could work for you as a business owner.

Hopefully, they lead to some great questions which can help you make an informed choice about your future.

However, one of the biggest worries I hear is: how can I be sure I’ll survive?

It’s a completely fair question. We all like to know if taking a risk will pay off – especially if you’re considering stepping away from the safety of a paid job to chase something bigger. When it comes to the Radfield Home Care franchise, yes, there’s a proven business model based on a 40 year legacy of success. Yes, there’s a fantastic support structure – so good, in fact, that Radfield is the only UK Care brand to have been awarded Workbuzz 5-star franchisee satisfaction for 3 consecutive years since 2023…

But there’s something even more important at the heart of it all. Joining a franchise like Radfield Home Care isn’t about surviving, it’s about thriving, and that all comes down to one thing: your mindset. If that’s not right, nothing else ever will be.

So, when you think about your questions, perhaps the biggest one you should be asking yourself is:

Am I ready to become the person who can do this?

Heavy stuff, I realise, but like everything else with the Radfield Home Care franchise, it’s not something you have to tackle alone. In fact, Alex Green from Radfield has written an article that might be the most important one you’ve read yet:

Mindset Before Metrics: Building a Bold Mental Operating System as a CEO

Here’s what you can learn from it:

  • Mindset is your “internal OS” – it drives every decision, conversation, and challenge. It shapes how you see the world, and your place in it.
  • Who are you becoming? – starting you own business is more than just a career choice. It defines your identity, and the person you want to be.
  • Your “why” matters – if your values and ambition align, you become inspired to make a difference, and incredible things can happen.
  • Authenticity first: Radfield’s mission is all about helping the nation age well. Is that something you can genuinely believe in? Your vision shapes your future.

“Before anything else, you need to ask: Who am I becoming through this? The work of building a business will shape your life for the next five to ten years and more. So you need total clarity on why you’re doing it.” – Alex Green

So, who is it you want to become? Where do you see yourself in the next 1, 5, or even 10 years?

I appreciate that’s not an easier question to answer! It might be simply that you know exactly where you don’t want to be in a few years from now: doing the same thing you are now. Let’s tackle these questions together and have a frank and honest conversation about how you can thrive with a Radfield Home Care franchise.
