Radfield Home Care Havering & Brentwood’s Jennie Bardrick has been shortlisted for the prestigious British Franchise Association HSBC Next Generation Franchisee Award.
Becoming dissatisfied with the corporate world, at the age of 29, Jennie Bardrick decided she wanted to run her own business within her local community. Passionate about improving the lives of others and older people, Jennie and her cousin joined the award-winning franchise, Radfield Home Care in 2017.
Investing in the Havering & Brentwood territory, Jennie, now 32, has developed a successful and rewarding home care franchise, providing high-quality care and support to numerous clients and creating jobs for dozens of local people.
The success of the Essex-based home care provider has led to numerous accolades in recent years for both its focus on quality care as well as business development.
“It is an honour to be a finalist in the Next Generation Franchisee Category at the bfa HSBC Franchise Awards 2020. Franchising has given me an incredible opportunity to enter a sector which is highly rewarding, gives me a chance to make a difference to the lives of older people, and brings me a work life balance that I could only have dreamed of before.” Jennie explained.
Pip Wilkins QFP, CEO of the bfa, said: “After attending a bfa franchise exhibition three years ago, Jennie has worked incredibly hard on scaling up her business, growing from 0 to 500 hours of care per week within nine months of operating it.”

This is not the first time Radfield Home Care has been recognised at the UK franchise industry’s high profile British Franchise Awards. Last year, the Radfield franchise opportunity was crowned the bfa HSBC Emerging Franchisor of the Year 2019 for its leading support, business model development and ethical approach.
The bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards winners will be announced at the Vox, Birmingham, on November 30. The Next Generation award is open to any franchisee aged 35 and under.
