The new Care Act comes into effect on the 1st April 2015 which brings with it the biggest changes to the social care system in the UK for 60 years.
There are changes to the way that eligibility for care is assessed, to the rights that carers have and to the amount that an individual has to pay for care over their lifetime.
New training requirements are also coming into effect with the introduction of the new Care Certificate for care workers.
We have put together an information sheet with the main points of The Care Act summarised for your information.
