Careers in care event brings local opportunities to Camden

People in Camden interested in starting or progressing a career in the care sector are invited to a free Careers in Care event this September, bringing together employers, training providers and sector experts from across the community.

The event will take place on Wednesday 17 September, 11.30am to 1.30pm at Highgate Newtown Community Centre, 25 Bertram Street, London, N19 5DQ.

Hosted by Radfield Home Care Camden, Islington & Haringey, and delivered in collaboration with leading organisations in the care sector, Careers in Care will offer practical advice, real-life experiences and information on a wide range of roles in adult social care.

Meet organisations making a difference

Attendees will hear directly from care professionals, training specialists and recruitment teams, with the chance to ask questions and explore local opportunities. Participating organisations include:

  • Radfield Home Care – working in domiciliary care; hear directly from a care professional.
  • Department for Work & Pensions – guidance on moving from Universal Credit into employment.
  • Skills for Care – training and development opportunities in the care sector.
  • Lifted Talent – visa sponsorship and care worker candidate portal.
  • Impact Futures – career development pathways in care.
  • Springdene Care Homes – hear about opportunities in residential care.
  • Age UK Camden – career opportunities in day care centres.
  • Jobcentre Plus – support in finding work.
  • Good Work Camden – career support and skills advice.

A collaborative effort for Camden

The event has been brought together by Glyn Clark, Director of Radfield Home Care Camden, Islington & Haringey, in partnership with local and national care organisations. He said:

“The aim is to connect people with the right opportunities, whether they’re just starting out, looking for a change, or ready to progress to the next step in their career.
