A joyful dance floor moment full of memories

At Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port, our Be There Moments are all about helping the people we support stay connected to the things they love most. Whether it is revisiting a favourite hobby, enjoying time in the community or simply sharing meaningful experiences, these moments are a powerful reminder that great care is about so much more than meeting practical needs.

This month’s special Be There Moment was for our lovely client Moira, aged 91, whose love of music and dancing always shines through at our day centre. Whenever the music starts playing, Moira is often the very first person up on the dance floor, encouraging others to join in and bringing smiles to everyone around her.

A wonderful afternoon with the dancing group in Chester

When our Client Care Coordinator, Di, heard about a local Chester dancing group, she immediately knew who would enjoy it most. She arranged to take Moira along, and the pair enjoyed a truly wonderful afternoon together.

As soon as the music began, Moira was in her element. With plenty of laughter and enthusiasm, she even taught Di some basic dance steps before the two were soon floating around the room together.

It was such a special outing and a lovely opportunity for Moira to reconnect with something that has brought her happiness throughout her life.

Bringing back treasured memories

For Moira, dancing is far more than just movement and music. The experience brought back precious memories of dancing with her late husband, making the afternoon especially meaningful.

Moments like these highlight the importance of personalised home care in the UK. By taking the time to understand someone’s interests, passions and life story, our Care Professionals can help create experiences that support emotional wellbeing, confidence and connection.

We believe that meaningful companionship care at home can make a real difference to quality of life. Supporting people to continue enjoying the activities they love is a huge part of helping them age well and remain connected to the things that matter most.

Supporting people to live well

As a provider of high-quality private home care in the UK for over 40 years, we are proud to deliver care that people want as well as need. From specialist dementia care services to companionship and day care support, our focus is always on promoting independence, dignity and joy.

Moira’s special day out is a perfect example of how small moments can create lasting memories, not only for the people we support but for our teams too.

Let’s keep the music playing

We believe everyone has a story worth celebrating and a hobby worth holding onto. If you’d like to learn how we can help your loved one stay connected to the things they love, whether it’s a trip to the dance floor or a quiet cuppa in the garden, we’d love to chat.

If you are passionate about making a difference and would like to join our team of dedicated Care Professionals, we also encourage you to view our latest job vacancies.
