We are incredibly proud to celebrate our Director, Julie Scott, who has been presented with a certificate by the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in recognition of five years of dedicated fundraising, volunteering and community support.
For families searching for trusted home care in Chester, community involvement can say a great deal about the values of the people caring for your loved one. Compassion, kindness and commitment do not begin and end with care visits; they are reflected in the relationships we build and the causes we choose to support.

Over the past five years, Julie has devoted her time, passion and energy to supporting the Hospice of the Good Shepherd through fundraising, volunteering and building a lasting partnership between the hospice and Radfield Home Care.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides exceptional care, comfort and emotional support to people living with life-limiting illnesses while also supporting their families through some of life’s most difficult moments. Their work touches countless lives across Cheshire and we feel privileged to have built such a strong relationship with the hospice over the years.
Receiving this recognition is a wonderful achievement for Julie and reflects years of genuine commitment to making a positive difference within our local community.

Our relationship with the Hospice of the Good Shepherd goes far beyond fundraising. Throughout the past five years, our team has proudly supported the hospice by taking part in a variety of fundraising events that help raise vital funds for local hospice care.
Together, we have laced up our walking boots for sponsored walks, sparkled our way through the annual Sparkle Walk, embraced the £50 Bucket Challenge and even swapped our usual roles to take part in the Hospice Strictly Come Dancing event. We have also volunteered as marshals at the Chester Half Marathon and are looking forward to taking part in this summer’s Pantomime Horse Race.
Every event has been an opportunity to support the incredible work of the hospice while strengthening connections within our local community. We are continually inspired by the generosity of everyone who donates, volunteers and takes part alongside us.

Our partnership with the Hospice of the Good Shepherd extends beyond fundraising. Every Friday, we are proud to host our day centre at the Living Well Centre within the hospice.
Our day centre provides older people with a safe and welcoming place to enjoy companionship, meaningful activities, entertainment, freshly prepared meals and the opportunity to build lasting friendships. It reflects our commitment to helping people remain connected, maintain their independence and continue enjoying the things that matter most.
Being based within the Living Well Centre allows us to work alongside an organisation that shares our values of compassion, dignity and person-centred support. We are honoured to play a small part in creating a welcoming environment where people can enjoy social interaction and feel part of their community.
When families begin looking for care at home for an elderly relative, they are often searching for much more than practical support. They want reassurance that the people providing care genuinely understand compassion, dignity and the importance of human connection.
Strong community partnerships help create those connections. Working alongside organisations such as the Hospice of the Good Shepherd allows us to better understand the needs of local people and the challenges many families face throughout later life.
Our purpose is to help the nation age well by remaining connected to the people, places and routines that matter most. Through our Be There commitments, we support people to Be themselves, Be connected and Be inspired to lead the life they want to.
Whether someone is receiving visiting care after a hospital stay or requires ongoing support to remain independent at home, feeling connected to their community can have a significant impact on their wellbeing and quality of life.

At Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port, we understand that every family’s circumstances are different, which is why personalised home care is so important. Taking the time to understand an individual’s wishes, routines and interests enables our Care Professionals to provide support that feels familiar, respectful and reassuring.
Families looking for home care services in Chester often tell us that maintaining independence is one of their biggest priorities. With the right support, many people can continue enjoying the comfort of their own home while remaining connected to their family, friends and local community.
By focusing on relationships as well as practical assistance, we help people continue doing the things they enjoy while providing reassurance for those closest to them.
As we celebrate Julie’s well-deserved recognition, we also celebrate everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts over the past five years. From colleagues and Care Professionals to clients, their families and members of our local community, every fundraiser, every donation and every event has helped make a difference.
We are incredibly grateful to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd for this recognition and look forward to continuing our valued partnership for many years to come. Together, we will continue supporting local people and their families through outstanding care, meaningful community involvement and a shared commitment to helping people age well.
