Celebrating the launch of our new social afternoon tea

There is nothing quite like a freshly brewed cup of tea, a slice of cake, and warm conversation to brighten up an afternoon!

We believe exceptional care goes far beyond daily practical routines, it is about encouraging connection and creating moments that make life genuinely special. That is why we were so thrilled to host the very first session of our brand-new: Social Afternoon Tea!

We created this social adventure not just for our clients, but as an amazing opportunity for older adults in our local community to come together and meet like-minded people.

Delicious Treats & Warm Connections:

Older adults enjoy fresh cakes, sandwiches, tea, and coffee alongside gentle movement sessions, engaging guest speakers, and plenty of friendly social interaction.

Our inaugural launch set the bar high. Soft music played in the background as guests arrived to a beautifully set room and a delicious spread of classic afternoon tea treats. It was amazing to watch attendees settle in, reminisce about past memories, and form new friendships over a cup of tea.

Staying active with guest speaker:

We were delighted to welcome Viki from Move It or Lose It as our very first guest speaker!

  • The Ageing Quiz: Viki kicked things off with an engaging quiz about the ageing process, helping us all understand how we can age better, stay strong, and keep active.
  • Music & Movement: To wrap up her fantastic session, Viki got everyone moving by demonstrating gentle, fun exercises set to music. It was the perfect way to boost energy and show that staying active can be incredibly fun!

The response from our guests meant the world to us. As one attendee shared:

“Thank you for a most enjoyable time. You looked after everyone so well and gave us a delicious afternoon tea. It was a lot of organising and it was much appreciated. We cannot wait to attend the next afternoon tea!”
