There is nothing quite like bringing our team together under one roof for good food, friendly competition, and a well-earned pat on the back.
Our Care Professionals spend most of their days out in the local community, supporting clients to live comfortably and independently at home. Last week, we paused the daily routine to host our annual summer team meeting, a chance to say a proper thank you, catch up on training, and enjoy a bit of sunshine together!
We wanted to treat our team to something special, so we brought in a fantastic local burger van to cook up delicious, hot meals for everyone. To top it off, an ice cream van made a surprise visit, serving up refreshing sweet treats that were a massive hit with the whole team, providing the perfect way to cool down and enjoy the summer vibe.
Alongside the delicious food and training, we also brought out everyone’s competitive spirit with a Radfield mini sports day!
We believe it is incredibly important to keep our team meetings lively and fun, so we set up a variety of classic games including Giant Jenga, toss the beanbag, Connect 4, and a tin can alley game, along with much, much more.
It was fantastic to watch our care professionals take a well-deserved break, share plenty of laughs, and enjoy some friendly competition together.
Beyond the delicious food, the true highlight of the day was seeing our carers relax and connect. Because our team spends most of their time out in the community visiting clients, this gathering offered a rare and wonderful opportunity to socialise, share stories, and build lasting friendships with one another.
By nurturing these strong bonds, we aren’t just building a great workplace, we are fostering a supportive, premium care team capable of delivering truly exceptional care.
In addition to our updates and celebrations, we held interactive, hands-on refresher training right here in our office.
While subjects like Moving & Handling, Infection Prevention and Control, and Basic Life Support (First Aid) are strict legal requirements for health and social care professionals, we believe learning should always be engaging.
We turned these vital safety topics into a fun, interactive couple of hours, allowing our carers to safely sharpen the essential skills needed to keep our clients safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
