Radfield Home Care Wycombe, Beaconsfield and South Bucks, a leading home care provider, is proud to reflect upon its recent success of maintaining essential, safe and high quality care to clients throughout the Covid pandemic. It has also recently celebrated the achievement of ‘Top 20 Home Care Provider’ status awarded by leading home care review website, homecare.co.uk.

Covid has presented care providers with an unprecedented range of complex and demanding issues, such as interpreting rapidly changing legislation and ensuring access to key safety equipment such as personal protective equipment (PPE). Director of Radfield Home Care Wycombe, Beaconsfield and South Bucks, Matt Barnes, has been meeting these demands head on and has led the implementation of their responsive coronavirus strategy which ensures the safety of their clients and carers - focusing heavily upon infection control.

”One challenge of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has been the complete novelty of the virus. This has led to frequently updated regulation with regards to infection control and Personal Protective Equipment. To ensure we are ahead of the curve we have been working closely with our Local Authorities, UKHCA and reviewing and implementing all Government Guidelines.”

Adjustments have been made across the board to ensure safety for all, with Matt confirming, ”The measures taken have ensured we have continued to provide a safe service to our clients. This is testament to our carers who have done a fantastic job adapting to the current situation. Wearing high levels of PPE, especially in the warmer months, is not always easy but our carers have taken everything in their stride and continued to provide the exceptional level of care that we are known for.”

Jessica Jenkinson, Radfield Home Care’s governance & operations manager, has expressed her appreciation for the hard work undertaken by the team, "During the pandemic Radfield Home Care Wycombe, Beaconsfield and South Bucks have shown their ability to adapt their service throughout the crisis. Guidance and legislation has been changing rapidly and they have flexed and adapted their services to ensure care provision continues in line with up to date Government Guidance. Care teams have been provided with comprehensive guidance and support to allow them to deliver a safe and caring service through the challenges posed by COVID-19.”
