Radfield Home Care Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow won The People’s Choice Award, and came second place for The Best Customer Service Award and also second place for The Best Training and Development Award at the Richmond Business Awards 2018.

The event was held at Twickenham Stadium on Friday evening and was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Mona Adams, among many other local business professionals.

The People’s Choice Award is achieved based on the votes received by the public, who are able to vote for their favourite business in the borough of Richmond. Radfield Home Care has already established a great reputation in the community that it serves, by focusing on delivering outstanding care to its clients, and by treating its staff with respect and as part of its family.

The Best Customer Service Award requires that a company has a clear philosophy on customer service that is communicated to all stakeholders, that this philosophy impacts the organisation’s teams and that the customers are involved in the strategic direction of the organisation. Radfield Home Care puts the client at the centre of everything they do. Shamsah Lalji, owner and director of Radfield Home Care Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow explains,

“Our core values; we are a family, we are proud to care and we are on your side, are communicated to both clients and staff. We involve clients in our recruitment process, we involve them in the strategic plan of our organisation and adapt everything we do to meet their changing needs.”

The Best Training and Development Award requires the demonstration of a clear learning and development plan that impacts the business performance, having a well-defined process to measure employees performance and a commitment to learning and development both internally and externally. Shamah comments,

“We believe that having well trained and motivated staff is critical to delivering safe, effective and high quality care to our clients. We pay our carers for training, spanning 9 days, we have a plan of continuous training that is tailored to the needs of the clients that each carer provides support to. We take the time to understand how staff learn best, what motivates them, and what their career goals are. This helps us ensure that they are committed, trained and motivated to delivering the best care possible.”

Councillor Jeff Acton remarked: “Radfield Home Care provides excellent care to its clients and has very high standards when it comes to recruitment and training of its staff. Congratulations on all your achievements this evening.”

We are extremely humbled to have won tonight’s awards. These accolades recognise and celebrate Radfield Home Care’s commitment to offering clients the highest standard of care in their own home, as well as investing in recruiting, training and developing the best care staff. We treat our staff as part of our family, as we believe that the kindness, dedication and respect we show them will then be reflected in the outstanding care they deliver to our clients.”

The awards were presented by Sir Vince Cable, Leader of the Liberal Democrat Party for Twickenham, to celebrate “the absolute best” of local businesses at the Rugby Football Union (RFU) Live Room.
