Radfield Home Care Richmond Kingston and Hounslow, a leading home care provider, is proud to reflect upon its recent success of maintaining essential, safe and high quality care to clients throughout the Covid pandemic. It has also recently celebrated the achievement of ‘Top 20 Home Care Provider’ status awarded by leading home care review website, homecare.co.uk.

Covid has presented care providers with an unprecedented range of complex and demanding issues, such as interpreting rapidly changing legislation and ensuring access to key safety equipment such as personal protective equipment (PPE). Director of Radfield Home Care Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow, Shamsah Lalji, has been meeting these demands head on and has led the implementation of their responsive coronavirus strategy, which ensures the safety of their clients and carers - focusing heavily upon infection control.

”We were watching the overseas news and closely following the developments of Covid in the UK. We ordered months worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) in early March, which helped keep our clients and carers safe. We implemented strict infection control measures early on, before Public Health England published guidance. Our stringent measures kept everyone safe and we are proud to say that our staff and clients have been Covid free.”

Adjustments have been made across the board to ensure safety for all, with Shamsah confirming that, “All client care plans were amended and we incorporated additional safety measures to our infection control procedures to keep staff and clients safe. All our care staff attended in-depth training on Covid-19 to ensure they understood the disease and how to stay safe.”

Jessica Jenkinson, Radfield Home Care’s governance & operations manager, has expressed her appreciation for the hard work undertaken by the team, "During the pandemic Radfield Home Care Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow have shown their ability to adapt their service throughout the crisis. Guidance and legislation have been changing rapidly and they have flexed and adapted their services to ensure care provision continues in line with up to date Government Guidance. Care teams have been provided with comprehensive guidance and support to allow them to deliver a safe and caring service through the challenges posed by COVID-19.”
