Just before Christmas, we welcomed our very first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection. The CQC regulates and inspects all care providers, including home care services, hospitals, GP practices, dentists and care homes.
We are incredibly proud to share that we were rated “GOOD” in all five areas:
The 50-page report was highly complimentary about the quality of care we provide, with positive feedback gathered from our service users, their families and staff.
It is a true testament to the dedication, compassion, professionalism and hard work our team demonstrates every single day.

At the start of the year our client George celebrated his 100th Birthday. His family threw him a party and his favourite care professional Vicky was invited. We think you’ll agree that George looks amazing for 100.

The Creative Art & Wellbeing Workshops are continuing to thrive with Winter inspired watercolours at our regular monthly workshops and fortnightly seated exercise classes in Loughton.

It’s been a busy start to 2026, we’re delighted to announce Vicky’s promotion to Senior Care Professional, a well-earned recognition of her dedication and high standards.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator for health and social care services in England.
They oversee organisations such as hospitals, GP surgeries, dentists, home care agencies, and care homes to ensure they meet essential standards of safety, effectiveness, and quality.
The CQC inspects, monitors, and rates care providers to make sure people receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care. Their reports help families make informed decisions and hold providers accountable for the service they deliver.
Providers are rated on a four-point scale:
In the most recent month of published data, CQC inspected 125 home care providers. The results showed a wide variation in quality:
This means that nearly 30% of providers were rated below the expected standard, falling into “Requires Improvement” or “Inadequate”.
It’s important to understand that CQC regulation applies only to registered care providers. Independent carers and introduction agencies are not regulated by CQC.
That means there is no external oversight of their training standards, safeguarding procedures, or quality monitoring. Before arranging care for yourself or a loved one, checking a provider’s CQC rating is one of the simplest and most important steps you can take to ensure safe, reliable support.
