Radfield Home Care Havering is proud to announce it is sponsoring the first ever Havering Christmas Land, brought to the community by the amazing local charity, Havering ‘Mind’.
Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They do a lot of fantastic work in the community to promote good mental health, including peer support groups, wellbeing programmes, and social inclusion projects.
Havering Mind have created a truly unique and magical Christmas attraction for the local area…… Havering Christmas Land! As well as decorating the historic Harrow Lodge House building inside Harrow Lodge Park, the secret garden next door to the building has been turned into a stunning Christmas lights walk through! With thousands of lights, decorations and Christmas scenes, this is a magical land not to miss over the festive season!
Entry into the walk is £2.50 per person (babies under 2 go free, no concessions), with all monies raised going to Havering Mind to help them to support more people throughout 2020.

Directors of Radfield Home Care Havering, Jennie and Lisa, initially met with Ciaran White from Mind, who is responsible for fundraising, events and training, back in November and were very inspired.
Jennie explains,
“When our one hour meeting turned into well over two hours of conversation, we knew we had found an organisation that shared similar values to us. We loved hearing Ciaran’s passion for changing the attitude towards mental health and all he has achieved so far. Ciaran’s ambitions for the Havering Christmas Land was admirable, and having taken part in the Havering Mind Half Marathon in October, I knew the event would be very well organised and a huge success!”
Havering Christmas Land is open from 4.30-5.30pm between the 8th and 24th of December.
We hope families in our local community of Havering can go along to the event to enjoy a fun family night out to get in the Xmas Spirit! Lisa has already been with her twins and they absolutely loved it and were in awe of all the fun and bright lights!
