Radfield Home Care Havering and Brentwood, a leading home care provider, is proud to reflect upon its recent success of maintaining essential, safe and high quality care to clients throughout the Covid pandemic. It has also recently celebrated the achievement of ‘Top 20 Home Care Provider’ status awarded by leading home care review website, homecare.co.uk.

Covid has presented care providers with an unprecedented range of complex and demanding issues, such as interpreting rapidly changing legislation and ensuring access to key safety equipment such as personal protective equipment (PPE). Director of Radfield Home Care Havering and Brentwood, Lisa Cable, has been meeting these demands head on and has led the implementation of their responsive coronavirus strategy which ensures the safety of their clients and carers - focusing heavily upon infection control.

“We kept on top of the guidance that was being issued by PHE around PPE and safe working practices right from the start. This guidance would often change really quickly, often on a Friday night, but because we are always checking we were able to respond straight away to ensure adherence with the latest advice guidelines.”

Adjustments have been made across the board to ensure safety for all, with Lisa confirming, “We have ensured all staff have received the latest information so that they can carry on providing the highest and safest level of care possible for our clients. The health and safety of our clients and carers is paramount to everything we do at Radfield.“

Jessica Jenkinson, Radfield Home Care’s governance & operations manager, has expressed her appreciation for the hard work undertaken by the team, "During the pandemic Radfield Home Care Havering & Brentwood have shown their ability to adapt their service throughout the crisis. Guidance and legislation has been changing rapidly and they have flexed and adapted their services to ensure care provision continues in line with up to date Government Guidance. Care teams have been provided with comprehensive guidance and support to allow them to deliver a safe and caring service through the challenges posed by COVID-19.”
