Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury and Oswestry, a leading home care provider, is proud to reflect upon its recent success of maintaining essential, safe and high quality care to clients throughout the Covid pandemic. It has also recently celebrated the achievement of ‘Top 20 Home Care Provider’ status awarded by leading home care review website, homecare.co.uk.

Covid has presented care providers with an unprecedented range of complex and demanding issues, such as interpreting rapidly changing legislation and ensuring access to key safety equipment including personal protective equipment (PPE). Registered care manager of Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury and Oswestry, Sonya Cole, has been meeting these demands head on and has led the implementation of their responsive coronavirus strategy which ensures the safety of their clients and carers - focusing heavily upon infection control. Sonya explains,

”“The onset of Covid required us to quickly adopt and implement a range of new policies and procedures to ensure that our clients and care professionals are kept safe. We are in regular contact with all of our care professionals, providing them with the most up to date information - we are so proud as to how they have risen to the challenge. We understand how unsettling the recent times have been for our clients and we feel privileged that we have been able to reassure them and to provide that vital social contact that has been limited due to lockdown travel restrictions. We understand how hard this has been for our clients, their family and their friends and know how important our continued provision of high quality home care is to them.”

Jessica Jenkinson, Radfield Home Care’s governance & operations manager, has expressed her appreciation for the hard work undertaken by the team, "During the pandemic Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury and Oswestry have shown their ability to adapt their service throughout the crisis. Guidance and legislation has been changing rapidly and they have flexed and adapted their services to ensure care provision continues in line with up to date Government Guidance. Care teams have been provided with comprehensive guidance and support to allow them to deliver a safe and caring service through the challenges posed by COVID-19.”
