Radfield Home Care Stafford has been busy recently hosting a Cupcake Day raising over £100 for The Alzheimer’s Society. Uniting with a local dementia support group, The Memory Lane café, Stafford, the cupcake sale raised much-needed funds and some great awareness for this fantastic charity.

The Memory Lane Cafe events are held fortnightly at St Peter’s Church in Rickerscote, Stafford, and are aimed at giving people living with dementia a place to interact with others and enjoy some time to relax away from home.

Stafford Branch Manager, Teresa, commented,

“What better place to hold an event raising money for Alzheimer’s Society than at a support group for local residents living with Dementia. At Radfield, we care for many clients living with dementia, so holding an event of this kind was something we were all very passionate about.”

In order to raise money for the charity, cupcakes and other treats were on offer in return for a donation, with both Radfield and the group organisers bringing along many yummy cakes for all to enjoy. There was no shortage of treats for everyone!

Sue Causer, one of the organisers of The Memory Lane Cafe, commented

“Helped by the team at Radfield Home Care we had many new visitors who really enjoyed their afternoon and helped us raised this incredible amount. A special thanks to all of our visitors who made this possible.”

The event was a huge success with many local residents turning out to help raise money for such a great cause. It also created further awareness to the group and the work that it does.
