festive fun for stafford clients

The Radfield Home Care Stafford branch during the busy festive period managed to take a number of their clients to a local church cafe to enjoy in a three-course Christmas lunch, all paid for by Radfield.

The Rising Brook Baptist Church puts on a festive menu throughout the month of December, offering older  people in the local community, a chance to leave the comfort of their homes, and meet up with local friends and the community and really get into the spirit of Christmas, with a super lunch, carol’s, coffee and mince pies.

Teresa James, Registered Branch Manager at Radfield Home Care Stafford, commented, “We decided that we couldn’t think of a better way to get into the festive spirit, than to treat our clients to a Christmas dinner and at the same time help out a local church to serve the food and look after their guests. Some of our clients struggle to leave their homes, so we wanted to give them an opportunity to socialise with others and enjoy a hearty Christmas meal; it was just such a wonderful afternoon.”

Radfield Home Care works tirelessly throughout the winter months to ensure that their clients are cared for, whatever the weather, and that they can enjoy the festive period.

Carol Mottram, attending the Christmas lunch, commented, “What a great afternoon we have all had. All the carers were so helpful driving us to and from the church, and helped create a lovely festive atmosphere. This was such a lovely gift from Radfield, and it’s wonderful to know that they are thinking of us.”

Rising Brook Baptist Church is supported by a committed group of volunteers and works closely with the local community to put on events, support groups and a cafe service.

Liz Dipple, Centre and Community Director, commented, “We are always looking to promote our services to larger groups, so for Radfield to get in touch to arrange bringing some clients along for lunch was great. It has been a pleasure to be involved with the client’s Christmas lunch and we hope to see more of them in the future.”

Radfield Home Care is committed to encouraging their clients to stay involved with local community activities where possible, and by working closely with support groups and associations in the community, this means that Radfield can continue to ensure their clients can enjoy events such as these.
