When I first opened the Radfield Home Care Leicester East, Groby & Oadby office, I wanted my home care service to make a difference in the community and help people live the best lives they can.
Receiving our latest inspection report from the Care Quality Commission is an incredibly proud moment for our whole team; it recognises us as the first and only CQC Outstanding home care provider in Leicester.
The official report specifically awards the office an outstanding rating in both the well-led and caring categories. This recognises the exceptional compassion shown by our care professionals and the strength of our local management team.
Greg Rielly, the CQC deputy director of adult social care in the East Midlands noted that our service is dedicated to recognising individual needs and tailoring support accordingly. He mentioned that this compassionate approach helps our staff build independence for the people we support.
For me, this success is down to the small, meaningful actions our team takes every day. The report notes how our staff supported a client to visit the grave of her late husband for the first time in several years. In another instance, the team purchased a memorial stone for a client who lost a beloved pet.
These actions show what outstanding home care in Leicester means in practice. It is about treating people with the same warmth and respect we would show our own families. We are incredibly proud that the CQC recognised both the quality of our care and the positive culture we have created for our clients and our team.
